Callie's Surgery

Callie's surgery (4/25) went pretty well. Not eating all morning was kind of tough, but luckily we had bubbles to distract her. She was such a good girl, although she flipped out when they carried her away. I think we were really holding it together until that point. Poor kid was so confused why these strangers in this strange place were taking her away from us - that's when it got a little rough. Just a few minutes later, though, she was out of surgery and the doctor said she was great! She was really disoriented after the anesthesia and had a really difficult time calming down, but by the time we hit the parking lot I think she realized she was staying with us and she began to chill out a little. She took a long nap when we got home, but later that day she was running around outside as if nothing ever happened! So far, so good (knock on wood)!
